Kirsty O'Brien

Kirsty has worked in the PFI and wider infrastructure sector for 20 years, with experience on both the lender and investor side of major projects. She has developed extensive expertise across a broad range of asset classes, including social infrastructure, telecoms, traditional and renewable energy, as well as oil and gas transactions in the UK and Europe.

Most recently, Kirsty worked for John Laing Infrastructure. Prior to this, she led Equitix Limited’s strategy for the acute healthcare sector.  In addition, she played a key role in the delivery of Ireland’s Social Housing Bundle 2 and successfully guided the construction phase through the challenges of COVID‑19.

Kirsty brings deep experience across the full end‑to‑end deal cycle and has consistently navigated and resolved many of the complex issues the sector has faced over the past two decades.

She is currently supporting the Global Council for Operational Projects, contributing her specialist knowledge to roundtable discussions and sector forums.
