Paul Gallagher

Paul leads EDF power solutions Ireland’s expanding renewable energy business, overseeing the development, construction and operation of a growing portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage projects. He is responsible for driving value creation across the business, while delivering projects that support Ireland’s energy transition, strengthen system security, stimulate economic investment and generate long-term benefits for local communities.

With over 20 years’ sectoral experience, Paul has a proven track record of bringing complex projects from concept through to delivery. A civil and structural engineer by background, he holds a degree from University College Dublin and postgraduate qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering, Project Management and Business Finance. His leadership continues to support the growth of renewable energy infrastructure that creates sustainable value for customers, communities and the wider economy.
