Peter Kane

Peter Kane is the Head of Estates and Sustainability Management at Belfast Metropolitan College, a Chartered Engineer with strategic responsibility for the management and development of the College estate, facilities services, sustainability initiatives, capital investment programmes, and operational performance. He brings extensive experience in the management of Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, with expertise spanning design, contract governance, performance management, lifecycle planning, risk management, handback assurance, and expiry transition planning. Throughout his career, Peter has worked closely with public and private sector partners to deliver high-performing estate services, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and support the successful transition of PPP/PFI assets into future operating models. His particular focus is on maximising value, resilience, and long-term outcomes across the built environment.
